Cadence provided initial site planning and design for the front of the Glen property which has been reimagined as a community park for Glen residents, staff, visitors and neighbors to enjoy and explore the natural environment. Poised as an area to not only benefit residents, Glenview Park serves the purpose of providing opportunities for partnerships to develop with the community. The combination of additional walkways, a campus trail, reconfigured parking scenarios, arrival courts and a campus loop road work together to safely allow vehicular circulation, while still providing a comfortable pedestrian experience for those appreciating the pastoral property on foot. The Great Lawn and plaza allows for outdoor programming, as well as an additional area for overflow parking when necessary. Placement of this lawn, plaza and paths create a strong physical axis with the main building arrival court, as well as visual relationship from those viewing the Glen from E. Flournoy Lucas Road. The revegetated water feature at the entrance recreates the element as a working landscape feature, assisting with stormwater management.
