The Florida Panthers Pledge Video
HandsOn South Florida commissioned Cadence to develop a Campus Master Plan for the outdoor classroom initiative, STREAMscapes. STREAMscapes incorporates the vital academic elements of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) while also integrating the Arts for imaginative problem-solving and an often-overlooked, but equally essential, learning component: Reflection. Located in Hollywood, Florida, McNicol Middle School was selected as the inaugural Broward School to incorporate this program. Cadence worked directly with the Principal, teachers and staff through workshop sessions to incorporate the school and students needs. The STREAMscapes Campus Master Plan would provide the students hands-on learning in an outdoor setting and incorporates 3/4 of an acre of proposed Florida native landscape.
Through various work days with The Florida Panthers, Altria and community volunteers organized by HandsOn South Florida and facilitated by Cadence the first three phases of STREAmscapes were completed.
