Cadence worked along-side Anthony Abbate Architects to create an urban plaza which is situated just one block from the beach. The plaza will provide visitors a MiMo style restroom facility, surrounded by native planting and activity lawns. The design incorporates landscape cap rocks which serves to replace traditional bollards and to be used for seating areas for beach goers. The project adheres to designing sensitivities which utilized sea turtle friendly lighting fixtures to illuminate the site. The urban plaza is designed to not only serve as a public parking location and restroom site, but as an alternate location for the City to program outdoor events.
