Cadence worked along-side the Home Owners Association to reinvigorate their main entrance drive and gatehouse. The design incorporates native landscape material to help recreate a coastal dune landscape. The use of a native specimen shade tree creates a main focal point upon entering the property. With the setting close to the beach, the design uses hardy native plant materials that are salt, wind and drought tolerant. The proposed trellis on the east side of the guard house creates additional shade for security staff and the trellis on the west side of the guard house provides screening of the utility equipment left in the open and highly visible to residents.
