Rooted in Jacksonville’s agrarian landscape, Congaree and Penn is a working farm shaped by orchards, rice fields, native vegetation and the rhythms of seasonal agriculture. Cadence served as the master planner. The design builds upon this authentic sense of place, thoughtfully weaving together productive Florida farmland, hospitality spaces and opportunities for gathering.
Careful site planning allows guests to move naturally through the 330 acre property, revealing a sequence of shaded pathways, open fields, intimate cabins, and expansive views across the farm. Native and regionally appropriate plantings reinforce the character of the North Florida landscape while supporting biodiversity, resilience and long-term stewardship.
Each outdoor space is designed to feel both purposeful and unforced. From the arrival experience, farm-to-table restaurant, outdoor dining areas and quiet places of retreat. The result is a living landscape that celebrates the farm’s agricultural heritage while creating an inviting setting for food, community and connection to the land.
