Glenwood Garden is a visionary Florida native botanical garden that is rooted in place, history, and community. Currently in the construction document phase, the project focuses on celebrating seasonal changes that often go unnoticed within our bioregion. The design invites visitors to slow down and observe how native plants and wildlife transform throughout the year, reconnecting them with the textures, scents, and rhythms of the natural world.
The garden will feature native plantings, shaded pathways, open meadows, and lowland landscapes that support biodiversity and integrate natural stormwater management. Designed as both a civic amenity and a model for rewilding underutilized urban land, Glenwood Garden will strengthen the City of Oakland Park’s growing network of public green spaces and provide opportunities for reflection, education, and everyday engagement with nature.
