The new design creates a harmonious outdoor living environment by maximizing views of the waterfront while establishing spaces that provide the opportunity for various levels of entertaining. A natural stone paving path that accentuates the angle of the home’s orientation towards the water, creates variation in the hardscape. The same natural stone paving then re-appears in the dining lanai offering a remote entertainment space along the east side of the property. The location of the pool cabana and grilling area is in close proximity to the kitchen in order to maintain easy access.
The pool intended to work within the existing pool footprint now provides a spa and pool shelf complete with a bench to sit and gaze upon the sparkling water. The outdoor shower area consists of an irregular stone path screened by oolite columns and an arrangement of hanging plants. The planting palette includes native coastal plantings, specimen palms and trees that are wind and salt tolerant. Both property line, as well as the pool and spa area are buffered with vegetation to improve privacy of the backyard without hindering views out to the water. An arrangement of low oolite walls along the dock define and retain the edge of the pool deck.
