Six sustainable and affordable homes coming to Deerfield Beach
A half-dozen homes will be built in Deerfield Beach as part of an expanding program to bring homeownership to lower-income families.
The formal groundbreaking for the six new houses will be Monday, in a lower-income part of the city near Hillsboro Boulevard and Dixie Highway. The lots were donated by the city to the Fort Lauderdale-based South Florida Community Land Trust, which will keep the land but pay for the construction.
