Thanks to the volunteer and funding efforts of HandsOn Broward, the Camillus House, a Miami-based not-for-profit providing humanitarian services for the poor and homeless of South Florida, will receive a new restorative garden and multi-use event space. The 9500 sf underutilized open space was damaged during Hurricane Irma.

Included in this restorative garden design will be an event and stage space for the organization’s Therapeutic Communities program which brings art, yoga, choir and spoken word classes to their clients. The construction of the design will be executed through community services projects organized by HandsOnBroward. To kick-off this new initiative, we have partnered once again with Unconventional Group and Artist, Ernesto Maranje to set the stage with a community mural on the west wall creating a backdrop for the stage. Stay tuned to see the unveiling end of this month!
